Renee' Sullivan
Director of Coaching & Trainer
Renee’ is a soccer player in addition to being a coach. She played college soccer and earned a BA in Political Science with a minor in Social Studies. She is AED certified and is trained to administer Epi-pen. Renee’ has coached and trained many teams for the last 30+ years including Recreational, Competitive, State League, Midwest Regional League and High School teams both JV and Varsity (boys and girls). She has been exposed to training from around Europe and uses that knowledge in her training sessions. Her teams have won State Championships and Conference Titles. She holds a National D coaching license from the State, is C license trained and has also completed the ASEP training through WIAA. She has completed the NAIA Champions of Character Coaching Course. Renee recently received her Director Of Coaching Diploma from United Soccer Coaches (formerly the NSCAA).
Marissa Sperger
Staff Coach, Admin & President
Marissa grew up in New London, WI. She started playing soccer at age four. She played for NEW United ’94, where they won the State Championship and were runners up several times. She went on to play Division I women’s soccer at High Point University for two years and won the Big South Championship. Marissa then transferred to Baylor University and was a part of the women’s soccer team. Marissa graduated Baylor with a Bachelor of Science in Biology.
After college, Marissa joined the Washington Spirit’s squad for the 2018 NWSL Season. Marissa decided to come home to pursue a professional work career. Marissa has her USSF “E” Coaching license and is working on furthering her licensing. Marissa has been coaching since she was 13 and loves the game – it is her true passion. When Marissa isn’t coaching, she enjoys working out and time outside.
JJ Guttman
Staff Coach
JJ has his USSF “D” License. He was a four-year starter for Carroll University where he played multiple positions along the back line. He was the first Carroll player to ever win the Player of the Year award and the first defender to ever win the award. JJ has coached in many different rolls and with many different ages during high school and after playing collegiately.
JJ graduated from Carroll University with a Bachelor of Science degree in Athletic Training. He then pursued graduate school at Marshall University and completed his Master of Science in Exercise Science with an emphasis in Athletic Training. He works at the YMCA as a Wellness Director.
JJ, a native of Eden Prairie, MN currently reside in Greenville with his wife Crystal, sons Aiden and Asher, and daughter Alexis.
Bryan Munguia
Staff Coach
Bryan grew up in Appleton, where he competed at a high level in soccer. Bryan has been part of Fox Cities United since he was a young kid playing in Lil Kits. He has played in State League and Midwest Regional League for Fox Cities United. Bryan played for the varsity soccer team at Xavier High School and was varsity captain for his junior and senior year. Bryan is very passionate about soccer.
Bryan has coached the last 2 years with Fox Cities United. He has coached the Lil' Kits 6U - 10U teams and he is transitioning to coach teams in the Junior Academy and Academy.
In addition to coaching, Bryan enjoys to workout, go on road trips, ride motorcycles, and photography.
Joe Messina
Staff Coach
Joe began his coaching career, back in 1993, while he was in the Marine Corps. While stationed at Camp Lejuene, NC, for 6 years, he coached both recreation and classic teams both on base and in town. After he left the Marine Corps, him and his family moved to Cape Cod, Massachusetts. There he started coaching his own kids in the recreation leagues. Four years later they picked up and moved to New London, WI. He continued to coach for the local club at the recreation and classic levels. He also coached New London Varsity Girls and Boys. He currently is assistant coach with the Hortonville Boys Varsity program. He currently holds a state level "D" license.
